I am a single mother to a 6 month old baby girl. Her dad and I broke up before I found out I was pregnant, and he did not want me to keep the baby. I did anyway.
Since then, I have had nothing but financial trouble--I was too sick to work while I was pregnant. Then I lost most of my business (I'm in real estate). Then, I gave birth, and then, I had to stay home with the baby. I am just now finding affordable day care and starting to work again, but am faced with an IMMENSE amount of bills that I don't think I can dig my way out of.
The hospital bill is $14,500. My tax bill is $7,000 (I had that money saved, but used it for medical and baby expenses). My mortgage is $1400. My other bills add up to about $2000 per month--and I have only made $4,000.00 this year, plus a few hundred bucks in child support (the guy doesn't make much $$).
I don't know what to do. I am absolutely willing to work, but don't think I can make enough to dig us out. I don't want to have my home forclosed upon. I don't want to be in this situation, and it doesn't seem fair that just because I decided to KEEP a baby that suddenly, I am poor.
Anything anyone is willing to contribute would be greatly appreciated, and will most definitely not be forgotten. I WILL start making money again, and I will either pay back or pay forward anything I am given.
